There are 2 candidates running for a seat on the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Daniel J O’Connell, who currently holds the seat and is running for re-election, and Linda Hines.

Freeholder O’Connell is a resident of Delran, where he has lived for the past 27 years. He has been a resident of Burlington County for almost 60 years. He is a graduate of Holy Cross High School and attended Marquette University in Wisconsin.
Daniel is a retired locomotive engineer where he served as a union leader and fought for working men and women.
During his first year on the Board of Chosen Freeholders, O’Connell supported an efficient plan that protected residents with zero increase in our property taxes. Dan is focused on expanding senior programs, increasing government transparency, and supporting local small business with smart policies to jump start economic development. As Freeholder, Daniel serves as liaison to the Prosecutor and the Health Departments.
Hynes is a lifelong resident of Burlington County and an accomplished lawyer who has investigated and prosecuted attorney misconduct. She currently serves as the Deputy Mayor of Westampton Township.
Linda understands the importance of balancing budgets. As a Councilwoman, she makes the tough decisions to work within the property tax cap to protect homeowners and she will bring a fiscally responsible approach to our county government.
Hynes resides in Westampton with her husband, Alan, and their two children, Madeline and Michael.
